Ongo and North Lindsey host employment awards
ONGO'S Employment Support and the North Lindsey College Adult Skills Teams held an awards event for their customers on Monday 17 December.
The event was held at their office on Cole Street, Scunthorpe and was a huge success with over 40 people attended, including old and existing customers.
The afternoon kicked off with presentations for the six award categories and was followed by a buffet and speech from Ongo’s Chief Executive, Steve Hepworth and the Principal of North Lindsey College, Mick Lochran.
Hayley Cullen, Operational Manager from Ongo’s Employment Support Team says: “One of the best parts of our job is sharing our customer’s success stories, and these events do exactly that. It’s been a great afternoon and I’m very proud of everyone involved.”
Award categories included Most Improved Learner, Dedicated Learner, Work Placement, Volunteer of the Year, Achiever of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Employee of the Year and Career Development of the Year.
Gemma Smart won the Ongo Work Placement Award, and the North Lindsey Personal Development Award for her commitment to improving her work skills and the progress she’s made. She commented: “Today has been fantastic. I feel really honoured to have been picked for two awards.
“Both Ongo and North Lindsey have helped me so much over the last year and I can’t thank them enough, they’ve really changed my life. I can’t wait to see what my future brings.”
