Networking
Network lunches
Network lunches are held every month, alternately at North and South Bank venues. These informal and social lunches are held at the best venues in the region, which provide a perfect setting for meeting business people. These occasions are very popular, with over a hundred members attending each one. Many members have won large amounts of business as a direct result of meeting new clients at these events.
Speed networking
Our speed networking events introduce you to around 30 business people in a short period of time – and it’s fun! The delegates are split into two separate teams, with each team meeting all the members of the other team, in ‘meetings’ of two minutes. Sessions usually take place before our network lunches.
Chamber Expo
The Chamber hosts and organises the biggest business event in the region every June, held at The New £36m Bonus Arena in Hull. Showcase products and services to an audience of 1000 businesses, with 89 Stands and first-class networking opportunities.
Social and corporate hospitality
The following events are corporate hospitality occasions, with Chamber Member organisations inviting their clients, colleagues, friends and partners. They also offer a great environment in which to network.
Chamber Annual Dinner
The Chamber’s Annual Dinner has been one of the most prestigious occasions on the business calendar for over a century. Held at a first class local venue, the Annual Dinner is attended every year by around 400 people, including VIPs from across the region. It is a highly enjoyable evening which features a mix of speeches and entertainment. Every year, a high-ranking representative of the world of politics or business is the headline speaker, followed by a comedian and/or musical entertainer. Members often book tables of 10, but can attend in any numbers.
Chamber Race Days
The Chamber has been organising Race Days since 1997, to provide Members with a first class day out in an exciting atmosphere. Held in the superb setting of Beverley Racecourse and at the historic St Leger Festival at Doncaster, these superb events are a great way to entertain guests, while enjoying excellent food and drink. The events are a great day out – and some members even finish the day with more money then they started with!

Business Awards
Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards
The Awards have grown to become the largest single annual business event on the south bank of the Humber. Attended by around 500 people every year, and held at Grimsby Auditorium in May or June, the black tie gala presentation and dinner celebrates business success. The Awards are open to companies of every size, age and type and we make them as inclusive as possible. It's a fantastic opportunity to recognise the wealth of business talent and entrepreneurship we have in this region.

International Trade
Trade missions
Benefit from the experience of seasoned exporters and make use of financial assistance which is available for many overseas trade missions and exhibitions. The Chamber runs several missions a year which are open to new and established exporters looking to enter new markets. We particularly recommend them for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who are still developing their expertise.
World Trade @ 1
WT@1 provides informal yet informative networking events for international traders. WT@1 meets monthly over a lunchtime and features a presentation on issues of interest to international traders, followed by a light lunch and the opportunity to network. Please click here for further information.
Policy & Representation
Annual General Meeting
Our AGM updates members on the Chamber’s activities over the preceding year and elects our new President and Vice President. The meeting is followed by a network luncheon, addressed by a senior local figure.
Chamber Council
Chamber Council is the Chamber’s main policy-setting body. Made up of senior business people from across the Humber region, it meets quarterly and discusses current issues with major local decision-makers.
Area Meetings
Our area meetings give you the chance to have your say on the issues affecting your business and your local area. Each meeting has a guest speaker who will update members on issues of the day and give you the opportunity to ask questions and give your views. We have meetings bi-monthly or quarterly in five different areas. Click here to find out more.
Shipping & Transport Committee
The Chamber’s pan-regional Shipping & Transport Committee represents the interests of members in the shipping, freight, transport and logistics sectors. Meetings are held quarterly and membership is open to all Chamber members.
