Celebrating success of young people gaining work experience in St Stephen's
13 unemployed youngsters improve their employability skills.
THE Source, in Partnership with St Stephen's in Hull is inviting people to join them at the Holiday Inn Express at St Stephen's to celebrate the success of 13 young people.
The youngsters completed a training course and gained valuable work experience with retailers in St Stephen's and Hull city centre.
The Source, working in partnership with St Stephen's and with help and support from the Hull Job Centre, recruited 13 young unemployed people who have overcome many barriers to improve their employability skills and increase their job prospects. They have also developed many essential skills such as communication and social skills and personal confidence.
This programme has been funded by British Land to support local people into employment. We have received fantastic support from St Stephen's management including Jim Harris and Ruth Truelove as well as The Entertainer, Boots, Boux Avenue, Wilkinson's and Pets at Home who have offered placements and supported the young people.
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, St Stephen's, on Friday, October 24, at 1.30pm with presentations from the young people about their personal journeys. Refreshments and the chance to talk to the students will also be available.
