HCUK and Goldings working together to cut finance training costs

HCUK and Goldings working together to cut finance training costs

Alex Atkinson of HCUK Training (centre) with Vic Golding and Di Garbera.

HCUK Training has recruited the help of a specialist training provider to deliver courses to help Humber businesses save money and safeguard their finances.

Golding Computer Services are offering fully funded accounts and payroll courses with HCUK Training to eligible SMEs through the Humber LEP’s investment of European Social Fund, co-financed through the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

Alex Atkinson, Head of SSW Operations at HCUK Training, said the courses are part of a range of opportunities to help businesses in the region improve productivity and growth.

He said: “The Skills Support for the Workforce funding allows local SMEs to access fully funded training in a range of areas. Through training we have seen a positive impact on productivity across many businesses who have then gone on to invest further in staff progression. Training is a key part of development and growth for businesses, this funding is subject to eligibility and available until March 2019 and I would encourage people to take advantage of it.”

Places are still available on the computerised accounting and payroll courses, both of which are available in distance-learning format, giving trainees and businesses the flexibility to fit in training around other commitments.

Di Garbera, a director of Goldings, added: “We know from the computerised accounting course that distance-learning is a great benefit for people and businesses. Some spread the training over a period of time and others do as much as they can straight away. Some do it as part of their work schedule and others fit it into evenings and weekends at home. We provide full tutor support by phone and email – and students can also get a free NUS discount card.”
