Important Export Documentation Update
Special Dispensation in place for ATA Carnet Holders who are currently unable to re-export their goods from Israel
Please be advised that Israeli Customs have introduced a Greater Facility to help ATA Carnet Holders who are unable to re-export their goods from Israel due to the ongoing situation.
Details are as follows:
Foreign Carnets with expiry dates between 08 October 2023 and 30 November 2023 will be granted an extension to the final date for re-exportation:
- for any such Carnet, the time limit for re-exportation will be automatically extended for an additional three months from its expiry date
- this extension applies to all foreign Carnets provided that (1) the goods are already in Israel and (2) that the original time limit for re-exportation is between 08 October 2023 and 30 November 2023
- the facility will apply automatically to any Carnets meeting the above criteria
Note that this dispensation does not apply to Carnets that have already benefitted from an extension in the past. Goods which are currently in Israel under the cover of Replacement Carnet, with expiry date between 08 October 2023 and 30 November 2023, will need to request special approval for further extension by sending a description of their circumstances to MaliL@chamber.org.il
