Leading Hull manufacturer marks five millionth Logic with a celebration of its best-selling boiler

SINCE its launch in 2009, five million Logic boilers have been manufactured and installed in homes across the UK.

The boiler is recognised as a hallmark of quality in the UK heating industry, providing reliable, efficient performance for 15 years.

All five million Logic boilers have been manufactured at Ideal Heating’s main site in Hull. It makes the Logic boiler one of the most successful products to ever come out of the city.

The landmark five millionth boiler has rolled off the production line in Hull, complete with a special commemorative gold label.

Ideal Heating has announced the gas engineer who finds the five millionth boiler will receive it for free, in celebration of the important production milestone.

The company is also embarking on a UK-wide tour, visiting trade counters and branches to give installers the chance to win a host of prizes.

The very first Logic boiler was manufactured at Ideal Heating’s National Avenue site in Hull fifteen years ago, in 2009.

Fast forward five years, and Ideal Heating celebrated one million Logic boilers with its team in Hull.

By 2020, three million Logic boilers had been assembled and installed in homes across country. That number had risen to four million just two years later in 2022.

Now, Ideal Heating has celebrated five million Logic boilers – a remarkable achievement for a manufacturer which has been rooted in Hull for more than a century.

The Logic boiler has underpinned Ideal Heating’s recent business success and growth.

The boiler received Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended Status in 2013 and 2017, and played a key role in Ideal Heating being honoured with three prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise – one in 2013 for innovation, and two in 2019 for innovation and international trade.

The popularity of the Logic boiler has also contributed to Ideal Heating holding an impressive five star - or “excellent” – rating on Trustpilot, with the company having been reviewed by more than 47,000 customers.

To celebrate five million Logic boilers, Ideal Heating is embarking on a UK-wide tour of trade counters and branches.

Members of Ideal Heating’s team will be speaking to gas engineers and heating installers at the trade counters, with a series of competitions and prizes on offer.

Back in Hull, Ideal Heating’s home is currently undergoing a £60m investment programme, as the company gears up for the next exciting chapter in its 100-plus-year history.

A key part of that investment is a new £19.2m UK Technology Centre, which will act as a research and development centre of excellence for future product development and innovation.
