Partnership reward for talented Beverley legal professional
THE number of partners within the region’s largest law firm now totals 45, as the organisation seeks to grow the very best legal talent in the area.
Wilkin Chapman solicitors are delighted to announce the appointment of James Marsden as a Partner at its Beverley office.
With a Law and Politics degree from Hull University and further legal studies in York, James is the latest in a line of home-grown lawyers to rise up the ranks.
“The firm has a very good reputation for employing and developing people locally. That is a true strength, with capable individuals who know the local people and the area – it can only be a good thing,” said James.
With family in East Yorkshire, James joined the Wilkin Chapman team in Beverley in 2009, qualifying as a solicitor in 2011. James specialises in family law, including divorce, financial matters on the breakdown of a marriage, cohabitation, domestic abuse and childcare issues.
Future development is on James’ agenda, to support both his progression and that of the firm as it grows its portfolio across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. With a specialism in Military family law, James has developed a niche for this practice area in addition to supporting families in the local area.
“Partnership is a big step in my career and is certainly a position that most lawyers aim for. I am delighted with the promotion and clearly wish to progress further, along with the development of the team and my military expertise here in Beverley,” added James.
Wilkin Chapman Chief Executive, Des Mannion, said: “Wilkin Chapman places great emphasis on recruiting, developing and retaining talented individuals and James is a great example of just that.”
