Phillips 66 Humber Refinery update on operations and community support
THE Phillips 66 Humber Refinery has issued an update on how it is fairing in the current crisis and the work it is doing to support the local community.
The report says:
OUR COVID-19 Preparedness Team have met regularly throughout this period to update, apply and disseminate the latest Public Health England and Government guidance to continue to keep our workforce safe and our facilities operating.
Our People & Our Operations
Over the last few weeks we have implemented numerous measures to ensure the safety of our workers whilst they are working at our facilities and continue to ensure safe and reliable operations in line with product demand.
- From Monday, May 11th a number of employees returned to site following implementation of extensive social distancing measures, with others continuing to work from home.
- We continue to provide support to those currently unable to return to site
Our Communities
- Last week was our fifth week of buying essentials and food to deliver to our neighbours in North and South Killingholme who are on the Government shielded list.
- We were pleased to be able to support Barton Rotary with a cheque for £1,000 to help with their hot meal deliveries to the elderly.
- Humber employees joined the rest of the country with the 2.6 challenge and are aiming to cover the 5,000 cumulative miles from Humber Refinery to our global headquarters in Houston and back to help our three local hospices Dove House, Lindsey Lodge and St Andrews.
