Skills Bootcamp in Import and Export - Enrolment Now Open!
Following on from the success of our first Skills Bootcamps, the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that we have received funding to deliver a further 3 Import and Export Bootcamps during 2023/2024. Our programme provides an opportunity to participate in a funded programme of support delivered by an expert team of international trade experts giving learners the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and support towards advancing their career.
Whether you are looking for a career change or wanting to progress in your current workplace, our Skills Bootcamp in Import and Export could open the door to a range of new and exciting opportunities.
Our dedicated training programme will help Learners develop the knowledge and skills required to successfully work in an import and/or export related role as well as gain the nationally recognised BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.
The Skills Bootcamps will be delivered in 3 cohorts and include 60 hours of guided learning over 16 weeks. The first cohort will start on 9th May, the second cohort on 18th September and the third cohort on 30th November.
International Trade Manager, Lorraine Holt commented that “we have attempted to make the programme as flexible as possible to allow Learners to fulfil their day job duties as well as complete the Skills Bootcamp programme and gain the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade. Our first Bootcamp Learners really valued the flexibility that online learning provided and also the knowledge and skills imparted by our experienced trainers.”

- Understanding Export
- Export Documentation
- Import Procedures (including Customs Warehousing, Inward Processing, Outward Processing, Temporary Admission)
- Customs Compliance, Documentation and Procedures
- Incoterms
- Understanding Commodity Codes
- Preference Rules of Origin
- Methods of Payment and Letters of Credit
- Customs Declarations, including CDS
- Export Controls and Licensing
