Saudi Business Visa Letter
On the 29th March 2016 the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia introduced a new requirement that all applications for Commercial, Working and Business visas must now be accompanied by a letter, on original company letter headed paper, which must be authenticated by your local Chamber of Commerce.
An Introduction Letter serves as a confirmation to the Saudi authorities that any costs relating to the applicant’s visit will be covered by their company and that the applicant will abide by the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
What criteria must be met?
Applicant must be a full-time employee of the (UK) Company.
Applicant must be resident in the United Kingdom.
Introduction letter must be produced on company letterhead and signed in blue ink.
What is the process to get my Introduction Letter certified by the Hull and Humber Chamber?
Before the letter is authenticated by the Chamber you will need to ensure you have completed and signed a Formal Undertaking. You can find the blank Formal Undertaking here
The Formal Undertaking has a validity of 1 year and we will use it to check your applications during this period so there is no need to complete a new one for each application.
Ensure that the signature on the Introduction Letter matches the Formal Undertaking – must be signed by one of the principals from the company. Your application will only be processed if we can positively match the signature against Formal Undertaking.
Submit the original letter (including a photocopy for our records) and the original Formal Undertaking over the counter or by post to our Export Documentation Helpdesk. You can download the template for Saudi Visa Letter here
For each application a signed Letter of Indemnity is needed. You can download it here
