Belvoir opening is a sign of property confidence
A NEW arrival on the regional property scene welcomed the Lord Mayor of Hull as well as guests from the city’s business community to its official launch event.
Belvoir has opened in Prospect Street, Hull, under the management of young entrepreneur Kuljeet Aujla, who comes from Grimsby and headed across the Humber for his first business venture after recognising the growing potential.
He said: “Even a little thing like the BBC promising to make sure Hull is on the weather maps can make a difference in terms of getting people to come here. It helps us promote Hull nationally.”
Kuljeet signed up for a franchise with Belvoir in February and opened the Hull branch during the summer, joining the Chamber soon afterwards. He took his first steps in business as a teenager, managing one of his family’s convenience stores. He then trained as an accountant and moved into sales, events and promotions before setting up on his own at the age of 22.
He said: “The end goal was always to run my own business and get into property. I’ve done my research and got to know the market in Hull and I think it is fantastic, with a wide range of properties and locations and great potential for landlords and investors.
“We work in property management, lettings and sales. We also do property sourcing, investment advice, insurance and mortgages. We will also handle the project management if any properties need any work doing.
“As part of a network of 120 branches we operate nationwide, with the promise that we are large enough to matter and small enough to care.”
The Amber development by Strata on the site of the old Boothferry Park is one of the exciting opportunities being offered by Belvoir, and Kuljeet is also promoting the brand new apartments in the Fruit Market area. He also offers property tips and advice through his own blog at www.hullpropertyjournal.co.uk
Kathryn Shillito, HullBID City Centre Manager, said: “Kuljeet has reflected the growing confidence in Hull city centre by bringing Belvoir to the city. His successful opening event shows how quickly he has managed to raise the profile of the business and his blog is an innovative approach to advising people on property issues.”
Belvoir Hull can be contacted on 01482 322300, email Hull@Belvoir.co.uk or by visiting their office in Prospect Street.
Kuljeet said: “We are always happy to talk about any property related issues. The kettle is always on and we will even pull out the posh biscuits!”
