As in previous years, the independent judging panel has also been also asked to select the recipient of the Overall Business of the Year Award from the shortlisted finalists, and the organising committee will nominate someone to receive the Tim Richardson Lifetime Achievement Award.
Garrey Haase, Chair of the organising committee, said: “Once again, our judges had a fine field of entries to choose from and it was pleasing to see a number of businesses entering the awards for the first time.
“The last few years have been incredibly challenging for businesses due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the unpredictable economic situation, so we’re very much looking forward to celebrating the successes of our shortlisted finalists at this year’s awards ceremony. Thank you to everyone who entered, and we wish all of our finalists the very best of luck.”
The organising committee is pleased to announce that Hull-born Amy Gledhill, a comedian, actor, writer and winner of The BBC Caroline Aherne Bursary will be performing for guests at the Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards.
Tickets for the black tie event, which will take place on Friday 14 April at Goole Academy, are available from the website - www.goolebusinessawards.co.uk. Following the untimely death of television presenter Harry Gration, who had compered the event since it was first launched, the event will be hosted by Blair Jacobs, a former presenter for BBC Radio Humberside.
