Have your say in NELC Flooding Consultation
NORTH East Lincolnshire Council has produced a Draft Local Flood Risk Management Strategy following the recent flooding which hit several areas along the banks of the River Humber.
The consultation sets out how the council proposes to work with partners to reduce the risk of flooding to communities across the borough.
In response to recent flood events and as a requirement from the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, the council has produced a Draft Local Flood Risk Management Strategy. This sets out how it proposes to work with partners to reduce the risk of flooding to communities across the borough.
It will provide clarity to all those involved in reducing the risk of flooding by explaining who is responsible for different sources of flood risk. The flood risks across the borough have been described and objectives for managing this have been identified.
The Draft Local Flood Risk Management Strategy is now available for public consultation where we welcome your comments and input into what has been produced so far. The consultation will run April 22, 2014. Comments will then be reviewed and be carefully considered when finalising the strategy.
