Ongo Recruitment celebrate successful year
DESPITE the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact on the business sector, Ongo Recruitment is celebrating significant achievements this year.
The agency, based in Scunthorpe, has been operating for 18 years supplying temporary project workers, permanent staff and apprentices within regional and national businesses.
All profit made by Ongo Recruitment is reinvested back into community projects, as part of their not for profit promise. Most recently this has funded food packages for those most in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
Since April 2020 the team have placed more than 300 temporary workers into jobs, 20 people into permanent higher level roles, they have interviewed and registered around 1,300 more and have successfully helped 12 organisations and individuals to launch apprenticeships.
They have also continued to supply Personal Assistants to reduce social isolation and help vulnerable adults get vital supplies, and have continued to support Humberside Police by fulfilling their contract to supply skilled staff to support vulnerable adults in custody.
Rich Green, Recruitment Manager said: “After the year we’ve all experienced we are absolutely delighted to have been able to continue to support so many local people into employment, and benefit our communities, too.
“We’ve signed more people up than ever to place into suitable vacancies, and are working with more and more businesses, so we’d like to thank them for their support in helping us to achieve our targets.
“Plans are in place to expand into the industrial and engineering sectors, and offer even more services going forward so please look out for that.”
