FORRESTER BOYD Chartered Accountants are delighted that two more of its trainee accountants have passed their qualifications and can now look forward to careers as chartered certified accountants.
Amelia Jacklin and James Sykes have passed the final exams of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and can now celebrate being fully qualified chartered certified accountants, adding more valuable members to the growing team at Forrester Boyd.
Amelia, a former Franklin College student, joined the Grimsby office in 2017 prior to moving to the firm’s Louth office. Amelia has a keen interest in tax, a complex and ever-changing area of accounting. Throughout her training she has formed strong bonds with her colleagues and with clients. Amelia said, “hearing feedback from happy business owners and individual clients where I have supported them is one of the favourite parts of my role. I look forward to progressing with the firm and contributing to the next chapter of Forrester Boyd.”
Moving on to North Lincolnshire and the firm’s Scunthorpe office, James Sykes, a graduate of the University of Hull is also celebrating his accomplishment.
James has a keen interest in personal tax. Speaking of his role James said, “I am looking forward to continuing to build strong client relationships and to build my own portfolio of clients.” James works with a variety of different business types where he thrives on not just delivering a great service but the tax planning that goes with that advice for each individual client.
Forrester Boyd’s HR Manager, Chantelle Rogers, said “We are delighted to add another two qualified Chartered Certified Accountants to our teams. Amelia and James have worked hard to get to this point. The training programme is intense with a lot of study and exams to contend with on top of their usual day-to-day work. Forrester Boyd was formed in 1935 by the merger of Mr SM Forrester, who began practising in Grimsby in 1900 and Mr W Robson Boyd, who set up practice in 1910 and is now one of the largest independent chartered accountancy practices in Lincolnshire and the Humber region.
Forrester Boyd expanded into Scunthorpe in 1937 and Louth in 1939. Through strong links with the fishing and food industries we also had an office on the docks until an incendiary raid on the pontoon by Hitler’s Luftwaffe in 1943 destroyed it.
Through the 1970’s and 1980’s we expanded our offices acquiring Hull based Graybrowne in 2020.
2020 also saw Forrester Boyd double its partnership to reflect its continued focus on delivery of a partner-led service. In addition, Forrester Boyd Wealth Management was ranked 3rd in the top 100 UK Financial Advisory firms by the Financial Times.
Today Forrester Boyd has 17 partners, over 150 staff and offer a range of specialist services alongside our core accountancy service including, tax planning, corporate finance and wealth management services from offices based in Grimsby, Louth, Scunthorpe, Skegness, Beverley and Hull.
