Verification of the Gross Mass of Packed Containers by Sea - ADVANCE NOTICE
From 1st July 2016, the weight of containers moving by sea will have to be verified before they can be loaded onto ships. This is a major change in legislation which will have an impact on everyone in the transport chain – exporters, freight forwarders, hauliers, container operators, shipping lines and others. The new regulations apply equally to all types of ocean freight – ordinary cargoes as well as dangerous goods.
