Business Leaders during discussions at the roundtable meeting

IN a lively discussion Ed Miliband and MPs Dame Diana Johnson and Emma Hardy listened intently to some of the Chamber’s key business leaders - The Voice of Business uniting the biggest Humber stakeholders to grow our business opportunities in the region and build our economy.

Topics of discussion included Net Zero, the diversity of industries we have from chemicals, to refining, to steelmaking to power generation - a unique combination of factors that allows to lift deep transition opportunities.

Business leaders agreed there was a need from the Government to give the great light so billions of pounds worth of projects we can move forward.

During the discussions Ed Miliband promised Humber business leaders that he is doing his best to get rid of the barriers, get rid of the uncertainty and move forward to get the rest of the Government to recognise the huge opportunities in the area.
