Chambers Trade Academy: The Future of Freight - Focus on Rail

Chambers Trade Academy

As part of our commitment to support businesses in East Yorkshire, Hull, North and North East Lincolnshire to navigate their international trade journey, we are pleased to launch a series of free virtual sessions in partnership with a selected group of UK Chambers across the country. The purpose of these sessions is to provide general insights into exporting, importing, customs as well as keep traders up to date with the latest changes in regulations and provide tips on how to grow globally.

About the Session

This webinar examines the future on one of the most energy efficient modes of transport in a time when supply chains are feeling the strains from various climate and geopolitical obstacles.

Is Rail making a comeback over other modes of transport?

We welcome Paul Bathgate as our speaker, who will provide an informative update on rail intermodal container movements.

Key topics that will be covered.

  • Size of the UK Rail Freight market
  • The barriers, challenges and myths associated with Rail Freight
  • The benefits of rail freight and UK Gov growth targets
  • Sustainability and impact of using rail freight – Rail First Initiative
  • How RailX is helping members to gain access to rail freight

Who can attend? This webinar is ideal for those working within the critical cog of today’s supply chains.

Registration: Once you have booked, a Zoom link will be sent prior to the event.

Registration and Costs: The Chambers Trade Academy Sessions are free of charge and open to members and non-members, however, registration is required. Only registered delegates will be able to join the session. Zoom links will be shared closer to the event's date.
