As nurseries and schools begin to reopen, the Cabinet Office issues latest guidance
THE Cabinet Office has asked the Chamber to share its latest guidance updates as schools begin to reopen.
As nurseries and schools have begun opening their doors, the Department for Education has updated its guidance on what parents and carers need to know about schools and other education settings during the coronavirus outbreak.
Full details of the guidance can be found here: https://bit.ly/ParentsGuidance.
In addition - in England - the public can leave their home to exercise and spend time outdoors with their household or in groups of up to six people from outside their household.
The guidance on accessing green spaces has been updated here: https://bit.ly/GreenSpacesUpdate.
To stay safe, the public must:
- Take hygiene precautions when they are outside;
- Wash their hands as soon as they are back indoors;
- Keep at least two metres apart from anyone outside their household at all times; and
- Take hand sanitiser with them when they set off in case there are no handwashing facilities.
And finally, last month DfE launched The Skills Toolkit, a new online platform giving people easy access to free, high-quality digital and numeracy courses to help them build up their skills, progress in work and boost their job prospects. New content is now available.
