Hull & Humber Chamber Survey results revealed
THE Chamber of Commerce is saying a big thank you to everyone who kindly took the time to complete our survey.
The winner of the two free flights to Amsterdam is Joanne Heywood, the regional manager for When You Wish Upon A Star, a charity which makes dreams come true for children with terminal and incurable illnesses. The tickets will be winging their way over to Joanne shortly, so she can start planning her trip!!

By way of feedback, here are some of the survey’s key findings.
71% of respondents were Chamber members.
21.5% have never been Chamber members.
However, 92% of respondents said they know what the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce does.
62% of respondents use the Chamber's services to promote their businesses.
42% of replies came from companies with fewer than 10 employees.
60% of replies were from firms in the Hull and East Riding area and 29% were from businesses in Northern Lincolnshire.
By far the biggest number of respondents was from companies offering Professional Services - 43%.
The Chamber’s networking and special events are big attractions - with 75% of respondents saying that these interest them the most.
Chamber Expo, Speed Networking, Networking Lunches and Business Award evenings are the most highly rated Chamber events.
Business Intelligence and the Members’ Directory are our most popular publications.
Our Policy and Representation issues are fairly evenly split with regard to what people consider to be the most important issues.
Events and News are the most popular reasons to visit our website.

When asked how Chamber activities and membership benefits are rated, Networking Opportunities were again the clear frontrunner with 54% of people saying such events are either good or excellent.
The results of the survey were discussed at the Chamber Board’s Away Day meeting this week and some concerns were raised at one member’s request for us to put on a winter tobogganing event! But if there’s a strong enough demand . . .
